
Damian Beil is a Professor of Technology and Operations at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. At Michigan, Damian has led academic programs, served as an interim Associate Dean, was a member of the Ross Executive Committee, and since 2020 was Area Chair for the Technology and Operations faculty. His new role as Tauber Institute Co-Director marks the second time Damian has held this position; he served as Ross Tauber Co-Director from 2017-2020. Damian’s primary research interests are in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, and market design across a variety of settings and industries. He serves as an Associate Editor for Management Science, Operations Research, and Naval Research Logistics, and is on the Editorial Board of INFORMS Analytics Collections. Prior to joining Michigan, Damian received a BA in Mathematics from New College and a PhD in Operations Research from M.I.T.
